Basketball Game Preview: Spring Lions vs. Porter Spartans

The Spring Lions will take on the Porter Spartans at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Spring has given up an average of 55.8 points per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Spring took a blow against College Park, falling 61-34. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Porter had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Boling with a 41-36 win on Thursday.

Porter picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Spring, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Everything went Spring's way against Porter in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as Spring made off with a 45-20 win. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
