Basketball Game Preview: Sands Mustangs vs. Klondike Cougars

The Sands Mustangs will challenge the Klondike Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Klondike will be up against a hot Sands team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Sands breezed by Dawson to the tune of 41-1 on Friday. That looming 41-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Klondike took on Grady on Friday. Klondike simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Grady 59-21. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 31 points or more this season.

Sands has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for Klondike, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.
