Baseball Recap: Westside Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Westside never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Acorn Tigers with a sharp 17-0 victory. Considering the Rebels have won three matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Westside's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Acorn, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westside will welcome Subiaco Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Acorn, they will square off against Danville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
