Central City/Centura won against Hastings last Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Kernels' pitchers stepped up to hand the Holdrege Dusters a 10-0 shutout. The win was just business as usual for the Kernels, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Central City/Centura got a massive performance out of Hayden Murphy, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Murphy has posted since back in April of 2024. Mason Gorecki was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Central City/Centura's record now sits at 3-0. As for Holdrege, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Central City/Centura is set to square off against their familiar foe St. Paul/Palmer at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Holdrege will take on rival Maxwell at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
