Softball Recap: Attica Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After only two runs in their last game, Attica made sure to put some runs up on the board against Faith Christian on Tuesday. The Red Ramblers put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 13-3 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Ramblers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Anni Reynolds made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddie Beck, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Aleah Cruz, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Attica was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Attica's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Faith Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Coming up, Attica will challenge Indiana School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Faith Christian, they will take on West Lafayette at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
