Basketball Recap: Norland Takes Down Archbishop Mccarthy in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Norland had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks by a score of 57-47. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Mavericks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

It was another big night for Lorenzo Major, who went 6-for-9 en route to 20 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in shooting accuracy (67%). Michael Watson was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Norland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Norland's win bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Archbishop McCarthy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-13.
