Soccer Recap: Mesa Comes Up Short

Mesa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Mountain Jaguars. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Jackrabbits couldn't quite close it out.

Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for South Mountain, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Mesa has already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Gila Ridge on the 8th. As for South Mountain, they will square off against Desert Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
