Zaryan Crews Delivers Best  Effort of Season
 Sweetwater was led to victory by  Zaryan Crews, who turned in his biggest game of the season  on Friday. Crews rushed for 179 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 100 yards , good enough to  set a new career-high in  rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere:  he has now  rushed for 126 or more in the last three games he's  played.
 Crews and Sweetwater will face off against Mater Dei Catholic at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. The  contest will pit Crews up against  the Crusaders' star quarterback  Kartell Purvis. So who wins this QB-duel? There's only one way to know for sure.

Perkins Posts Huge Game in  28-12  Loss
 While  La'Darrione Perkins delivered a dominant  effort  on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Chula Vista. Perkins was dynamite, making 14 total tackles.
 Chula Vista is  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-5. Perkins and Chula Vista will take on Eastlake at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.

Nate Rodriguez Turns in Season-Best  Performance
  Nate Rodriguez produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Eastlake to the win  on Friday. Rodriguez picked up  three  sacks and made 13 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
 For the season,  Rodriguez  has averaged 8.2 total tackles per game  and for the season has 4 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season,  he was only averaging 1.13  total tackles per game.

Faisal Musa Delivers Electric  Effort Vs Chula Vista
 The second Sweetwater player making an appearance here is  Faisal Musa, and for good reason. He rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 75 yards.
 Musa and Sweetwater will challenge Mater Dei Catholic at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. The  match will pit Musa up against  the Crusaders' star rusher  Jordan Dumaran. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

A Season-Best  Effort from  William Schmitz Leads Eastlake over Otay Ranch
 Eastlake was led to victory by  William Schmitz, who turned in his biggest game of the season  on Friday. Schmitz rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown. The  performance  marked the most  rushing yards  he has had since back in October of 2023. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
 On the year,  Schmitz  has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 68 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after nine games last season,  he had two  rushing touchdowns.
