Soccer Game Preview: Ukiah vs. Montgomery

The Ukiah Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Montgomery Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Ukiah took on Rancho Cotate on Tuesday. Ukiah never let Rancho Cotate onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Montgomery has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 7. Neither they nor Maria Carrillo could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

The win made it two in a row for Ukiah and bumps their season record up to 14-3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two contests. With that draw, Montgomery's record moves to 3-7-7.

Ukiah took their victory against Montgomery in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ukiah since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
