Basketball Recap: Maple Valley Comes Up Short

Maple Valley lost against Calhoun Christian back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Maple Valley Lions came up short against the Calhoun Christian Cougars, falling 55-30. The Lions were down 47-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Maple Valley still got an impressive performance from Ines Sanchez Feito, who posted 20 points and five steals. Sanchez Feito's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

This is the second loss in a row for Maple Valley and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Calhoun Christian, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Maple Valley Lions duke it out with the Stockbridge Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Calhoun Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Will Carleton Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
