Volleyball Recap: Mantachie Has No Trouble Against Wheeler

Mantachie won the last time they faced Wheeler and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mantachie was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-5, 25-14.

Despite the loss, Wheeler saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Savannah Hancock had 19 digs. Those 19 digs set a new season-high mark for Hancock.

Mantachie's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Wheeler, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Mantachie will face off against Mooreville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheeler, they will take on New Site at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
