Owyhee put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Kuna Kavemen. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Storm also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Owyhee got a great performance from Kaleb Doty as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave Doty a new career-high.

At the plate, Gage Haws and Easton Price did most of the damage at the plate: Haws scored a run and stole two bases while going 4-for-4, while Price scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four hits gave Haws a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Keith, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Owyhee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Owyhee pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Kuna, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.

Coming up, Owyhee will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Meridian at 6:30 p.m. Owyhee is facing Meridian at the right time seeing as Meridian is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Kuna, they will venture away from home to face off against Ridgevue at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
