Softball Game Preview: Mary Star of the Sea Stars vs. Serra Cavaliers

Mary Star of the Sea is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Serra a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Mary Star of the Sea Stars will be playing at home against the Serra Cavaliers at 3:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Monday, Mary Star of the Sea came up short against Bishop Conaty-Loretto and fell 5-2.

Amaree Arellano made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. Maris Reyes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Serra lost 26-3 to Ramona Convent two weeks ago.

Serra saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jada Jones, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Serra's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Mary Star of the Sea, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
