EJ Ruffin Delivers Best Effort of Season

EJ Ruffin produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Ayden - Grifton to the win on Friday. Ruffin rushed for 174 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making nine total tackles and defending a pass.

Ayden - Grifton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Ruffin and Ayden - Grifton have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome SouthWest Edgecombe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

West Craven Gets a Boost from Davis in 45-18 Victory

Thanks in part to DJ Davis, West Craven said goodbye to their four-game losing streak. Farmville Central had no answer to Davis on Friday as he rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Davis continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

For the season, Davis has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 195.1 passing yards per game.

Another Game with at Least 104 Rushing Yards from Keondrick Melton

Keondrick Melton continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his sixth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 104 rushing yards. He rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

Washington's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4. Melton and Washington will take on North Pitt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Elijah Able Goes Supernova in Farmville Central Defeat

While Elijah Able delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Farmville Central. Able was unstoppable, rushing for 173 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 62 yards.

Able is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Greene Central on Friday. Able rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown the last time he and the Rams duked it out back in October of 2023.

A Season-Best Effort from Malik Brown Leads West Craven over Farmville Central

Malik Brown produced his most outstanding game to date while leading West Craven to the win on Friday. Brown rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Brown is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Greene Central on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Brown saw the Rams), he rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 58 receiving yards.
