Baseball Recap: Lena-Winslow Comes Up Short

Lena-Winslow blew Pearl City out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Pearl City got their revenge. The Panthers fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 9-7. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 10-0.

Aiden Wild and Luke Madigan did some serious damage despite the final result: Wild went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Madigan went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Lena-Winslow's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6-1. As for Pearl City, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8.

Coming up, Lena-Winslow will take on West Carroll at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pearl City, they will face off against East Dubuque at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
