Volleyball Recap: Six Straight Road Victories for Watertown

Watertown hadn't done well against Washington recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Arrows skirted past the Warriors 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Arrows have posted since October 22, 2024.

Watertown was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-23, 15-8.

Kynsee Russell was the offensive standout of the match as she had 32 assists and 12 digs.

Watertown was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

Watertown's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
