Football Game Preview: Crestview Knights vs. Columbus Grove Bulldogs

Crestview is 2-8 against Columbus Grove since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Knights will head out to challenge the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Crestview's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five games.

On Friday, Crestview ended up a good deal behind Bluffton and lost 49-34.

Crestview might have lost, but man, Braxton Leeth was a machine: he rushed for 396 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also caught one touchdown. Leeth's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 114 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, while Columbus Grove put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Fort Loramie. The Bulldogs took their matchup with ease, bagging a 34-0 victory over the Redskins. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 34 points or more this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Columbus Grove, bringing their record up to 4-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.8 points over those games. As for Crestview, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.

Crestview took a serious blow against Columbus Grove in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 49-7. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Knights were down 42-0.
