Softball Recap: Mio HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Mio HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Houghton Lake Bobcats, falling 12-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mio HomeSchool of the 20-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Mio HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Houghton Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Looking ahead, Mio HomeSchool will challenge Whittemore-Prescott at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Houghton Lake, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-9 victory against Mio-Au Sable on the 2nd.
