Baseball Recap: Bloomsburg Comes Up Short

Bloomsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 17-1 to the Southern Columbia Area Tigers. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Bloomsburg saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Scherer, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Andrew Petock also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Bloomsburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Southern Columbia Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Bloomsburg will be playing at home against Muncy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southern Columbia Area, they will head out to take on Loyalsock Township at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Lancers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
