Softball Recap: Reading Memorial Makes It 13 in a Row at Home

Reading Memorial put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Newburyport Clippers. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Reading Memorial's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Newburyport, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, Reading Memorial will head out on the road to challenge Woburn Memorial at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Newburyport, they will welcome North Reading at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
