Volleyball Recap: Whitehall-Yearling Takes a Loss

Whitehall-Yearling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Bishop Ready Silver Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-5, 25-3.

Leading Bishop Ready to victory were Allyson Creighton and Maura Himes. Creighton had 18 aces and 11 assists, while Himes had nine assists and seven aces. Those 18 aces gave Creighton a new career-high.

Whitehall-Yearling's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bishop Ready, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Whitehall-Yearling will face off against Cristo Rey at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bishop Ready, they will take on Madison Plains at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
