Football Game Preview: Brownell Talbot Raiders vs. Boys Town Cowboys

The Brownell Talbot Raiders will square off against the Boys Town Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brownell Talbot has given up an average of 30.1 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Brownell Talbot is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Ashland-Greenwood on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Raiders had to suffer through a 70-28 loss at the hands of the Bluejays. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-7.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Owen Ohnoutka, who rushed for 107 yards and one TD. He is becoming a predictor of Brownell Talbot's success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 3-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Another pass catcher making a difference was Perry Anderson, who picked up 48 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Boys Town got the win against Roncalli Catholic on Friday by a conclusive 31-6. The result was nothing new for the Cowboys, who have now won three matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.

Brownell Talbot has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Boys Town, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Brownell Talbot took a serious blow against Boys Town when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 44-0.
