Everything went Abbeville's way against Ninety Six on Thursday as Abbeville made off with a 16-3 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Ben Overholt, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He also launched a home run, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Dayne Botts, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Thornwell made sure to put some runs up on the board against Southside on Wednesday. Thornwell blew past Southside 11-1. Considering the Saints' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Thornwell got a massive performance out of Jaden Wilson, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Josef Holford was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2.
Thornwell's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Abbeville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Abbeville has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Thornwell struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
