Basketball Recap: Everett Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Everett hadn't done well against Southern Fulton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Everett Warriors snuck past the Southern Fulton Indians with a 44-38 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Teagan Ritz, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 12 points. Ritz continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trentin Cain, who posted nine points and four blocks.

Everett's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6. As for Southern Fulton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

When Everett and Southern Fulton next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Everett will try to stop McConnellsburg's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Southern Fulton will try to stop Forbes Road's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
