Baseball Recap: Lockney Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lockney can now relate to. They fell just short of the Gruver Greyhounds by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Tuesday.

Dyllan Thiebaud spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up eight Ks. Lockney is 7-3 when Thiebaud allows two or fewer earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

Lockney has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Gruver, the win keeps they at an undefeated 17-0.

As of now, neither Lockney nor the Greyhounds have any future games scheduled.
