After a string of five wins, Buckeye's good fortune finally ran out on Sunday. They fell just short of the West Monroe Rebels by a score of 2-1. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to the Rebels when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Buckeye's defeat dropped their record down to 23-7. As for West Monroe, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buckeye will challenge Denham Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Monroe, they will square off against Oak Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight.
