Soccer Recap: Mabank Comes Up Short

Mabank lost against Sunnyvale back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mabank Panthers came up short against Sunnyvale, falling 9-1. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 743rd, while Sunnyvale are ranked 299th).

Mabank dropped their record down to 0-7-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Sunnyvale, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mabank will take on Kemp at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sunnyvale, they will face off against Community at 11:30 a.m. on February 15th.
