Softball Recap: Triad Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Triad challenged Springfield on Thursday. Triad came up short against Springfield, falling 15-3. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Triad saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Martin, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Riley Haser was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Triad's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2. Springfield has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Triad will venture away from home to challenge Northeastern at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Triad's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Springfield, they will challenge Urbana at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
