Football Recap: North Branford Piles Up the Points Against Windsor Locks/Suffield/East Granby

North Branford had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 41-6 victory over the Windsor Locks/Suffield/East Granby Raiders. The Thunderbirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 26 points or more this season.

North Branford found their leader in freshman Billy Criscuolo, who picked up 77 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 37 yards.

North Branford didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jon Jacobs and Landen Burns.

North Branford's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Windsor Locks/Suffield/East Granby, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, North Branford will be playing in front of their home fans against Granby Memorial/Canton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbirds' defense better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 29.9 points per game this season. As for Windsor Locks/Suffield/East Granby, after both having extra time off, they and Stafford/Somers/East Windsor will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th.
