Volleyball Recap: Indio Starts Season with Victory Against Southwest EC

Indio took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They put the hurt on the Southwest EC Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory.

While Indio won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-16.

Anitzi Zarco was nothing short of spectacular: she had 35 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

Indio wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Central on the 12th. As for Southwest EC, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Montgomery on the 12th.
