Coronado is 7-2 against Mesa Ridge since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cougars will challenge the Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. Coronado's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Coronado is headed into the matchup having not lost since March 31 and will look to keep things rolling. They had just enough and edged out Palmer 1-0 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Mesa Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 6-1 to Canon City. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Mesa Ridge were already down 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Letty Gerhardt, who's now up to two this season.

Mesa Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-2. As for Coronado, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-0-2 and their overall record up to 7-2-4.

Everything went Coronado's way against Mesa Ridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Coronado made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
