Football Recap: Vardaman Rams vs. Okolona Chieftains
Vardaman put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Okolona Chieftains 42-12. Considering the Rams have won seven matchups by more than 23 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Bryson Moore, who rushed for 96 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Bentley Hamilton, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Vardaman was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 268 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2023.
Vardaman wouldn't let Okolona keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Hamilton was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.
Vardaman's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Okolona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
