            Softball Preview: Waynedale Golden Bears vs. Smithville Smithies        
        
		
        
        
            For the second straight game, Waynedale will face off against Smithville. The Golden Bears will take on the Smithies at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. One thing working in Waynedale's favor is that they have posted at least ten  runs  in their last three games.
While Waynedale's  victory against Smithville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Bears had just enough and edged out the Smithies  13-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Golden Bears have posted  since March 25th.
 Madi Miller was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three  stolen bases and three  runs. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in March.  Brayleigh Mast was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Waynedale was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .500. They are 7-3 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
 Waynedale's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Smithville, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with the  loss, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
