Basketball Recap: Ben Bolt Comes Up Short

Ben Bolt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 62-36 to the Freer Buckaroos. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Badgers have suffered against the Buckaroos since February 7, 2022.

Freer was led to victory by Ayden Ramirez and Dehondre Hayes. Ramirez posted 22 points along with six boards and five steals, while Hayes had 18 points and seven rebounds. With that strong performance, Ramirez is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Joesph Serna, who earned seven points and eight boards.

Ben Bolt's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Freer, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Ben Bolt will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Santa Maria at 7:30 p.m. As for Freer, they will face off against Kaufer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
