Immaculata-La Salle extended their winning streak to nine on Friday, bumping them up to 9-0. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mater Academy Charter Lions, sneaking past 21-18. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Royal Lions also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Immaculata-La Salle didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tyrone Williams and Jayden Noel. Immaculata-La Salle got some further help from Daniel Marin: he picked up two sacks and made six total tackles.

As for Mater Academy Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2. Despite 129 more yards than Immaculata-La Salle, the Lions couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Mater Academy Charter lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gerrod Modest, who picked up 99 receiving yards and one score. Kimbriq Minnis handled things on the ground, rushing for 83 yards.

Immaculata-La Salle wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 31-0 win against Dr. Krop on the 30th. As for Mater Academy Charter, they have also already played their next game, a 45-0 victory against Jackson on the 31st.
