Football Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin suffered their biggest defeat since November 15, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by the St. Monica Mariners 55-21. The Panthers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Franklin lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jayden Steele, who picked up 200 receiving yards. Kennedy Cleveland also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for St. Monica, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Coming up, Franklin is taking a road trip to take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Albert Cardenas and Andrew Evangelista. As for St. Monica, they will be playing at home against St. Genevieve at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Mariners 10.1, the Valiants 9.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
