Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Murray's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Murray unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cottonwood Colts by a score of 3-2. Spartans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Colts since Tuesday.

Murray actually scored more points across those five sets (107-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 17-25, 26-24, 13-25, 15-11.

Murray's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 14-9. As for Cottonwood, their win bumped their record up to 5-16.

Looking ahead, Murray will be playing at home against Juan Diego Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cottonwood, they are taking a road trip to take on Bountiful at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
