Recap: Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves vs. Cardinal Newman Crusaders
The Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 74-42 loss at the hands of Cardinal Newman. Oxbridge Academy has not had much luck with Cardinal Newman recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Lt Noegel was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 17 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Max Redmon, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Oxbridge Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Cardinal Newman, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oxbridge Academy will take on Pine Crest at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
