Recap: Dixie County Bears vs. Countryside Christian Minutemen
The Dixie County Bears lost a heartbreaker to the Countryside Christian Minutemen when they met back in December of 2022, and they left with a heavy heart again on Thursday. Dixie County was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 37-36 to Countryside Christian. Dixie County has struggled against Countryside Christian recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Countryside Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Samantha Keith led the charge by scoring 16 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Keith has scored at least 25% of Countryside Christian's points. Madelyn Watson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
Dixie County's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Countryside Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
