Softball Recap: Kenston Comes Up Short

Kenston and North pushed the score to 19-5 the last time they played North, but on Monday defenses reigned supreme. The Bombers fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Bombers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Kenston's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for North, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenston will host Roosevelt at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Rough Riders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gilmour Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rangers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season.
