Newton fell victim to Archer and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 13-0. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Newton now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Archer, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
