Recap: Bellefontaine Chieftains vs. Kenton Ridge Cougars
The Bellefontaine Chieftains came into Wednesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They enjoyed a cozy 53-39 victory over Kenton Ridge on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bellefontaine also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Bellefontaine's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quinlan Zedeker led the charge by scoring 17 points along with four steals and two blocks. Lexi Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Bellefontaine's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Kenton Ridge, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-19.
Bellefontaine will head out on the road to challenge Carlisle at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellefontaine has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Kenton Ridge, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 33-21 loss vs. Greeneview on the 10th.
