Basketball Recap: Damion Green and Tj Williams Secure Win for Purdue Polytechnic

Purdue Polytechnic waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 68-54 victory over the Tindley Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 73-54 back in December of 2024.

Purdue Polytechnic was led to victory by Tj Williams and Damion Green. Williams posted 23 points, while Green had 16 points. Williams' morning made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. James Long Jr. was another key player, putting up nine points.

Purdue Polytechnic has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Tindley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Purdue Polytechnic will be taking part in a tournament against Covenant Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Covenant Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Purdue Polytechnic likes a good challenge. As for Tindley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-54 loss against Purdue Poly Englewood on the 21st.
