Basketball Recap: Mountain View's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Mountain View unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Uintah Utes. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Utes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Dauson Gardiner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Uintah, going 10 for 17 on his way to 27 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jd Pickup, who posted seven points in addition to 11 boards and five steals.

Mountain View now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Uintah, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will welcome Timpanogos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Uintah, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Providence Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
