Baseball Recap: Mansfield Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Mansfield lost to Lamar back in March of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Tigers came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 5-1. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Warriors on their field since April 23, 2018.

Mansfield's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lamar, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Mansfield is taking a road trip to challenge Mena at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bearcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lamar, they will host Dardanelle at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
