Baseball Recap: Athens Sets Scoring Season-High Against Phillips

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Athens). They put the hurt on the Phillips Loggers with a sharp 17-2 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Bluejays in their matchups with the Loggers: they've now won four in a row.

Athens' victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Phillips, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Athens wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-1 defeat against Marathon on the 2nd. Phillips has also already played their next contest (against Stratford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
