Byron Nelson had already won 39 in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it 40 on Thursday. They came out on top against the Mira Costa Mustangs by a score of 2-0. The Bobcat have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Ashlyn Seay paced Byron Nelson's offense, picking up 12 kills. Seay got some help from Sophee Peterson and her 26 assists. Finally, Peterson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.
