Recap: Clairemont Chieftains vs. La Jolla Vikings
The Clairemont Chieftains pushed their score all the way to 72 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 85-72 to La Jolla.
Michael Contreras continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for La Jolla, scoring 24 points. Contreras has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Lance Braga, who scored 16 points.
Clairemont's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for La Jolla, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clairemont will face off against San Ysidro at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. San Ysidro is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. La Jolla's road trip will continue as they head out to face Point Loma at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
