Softball Recap: Providence Hall Takes a Loss

If Providence Hall was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of American Leadership Academy on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots came up short against the Taylorsville Warriors on Friday, falling 10-2.

Providence Hall saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nena Garcia, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run. Another was Mariah Garcia, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Providence Hall's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Taylorsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Providence Hall will take on Bingham in a tournament on Friday. The Miners' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Taylorsville, they will be taking part in a tournament against Altamont at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
