Baseball Game Preview: Oshkosh North Spartans vs. Neenah Rockets

Oshkosh North is 2-8 against Neenah since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Spartans will head out to take on the Rockets at 4:30 p.m. Oshkosh North has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Oshkosh North's offense. They came up short against Appleton West on Friday, falling 11-0. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kimberly hit Neenah with a five-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rockets lost 13-4 to the Papermakers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 11, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Neenah's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Oshkosh North, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Oshkosh North might still be hurting after the 12-1 loss they got from Neenah in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
